KS3/4 Teacher Training Event, Parliament Buildings, Friday 6th December 2019

The Northern Ireland Assembly Education Service will be holding its annual professional learning event for Key Stage 3 & 4 teachers delivering the statutory requirements for Local and Global Citizenship and the revised GCSE in Learning for Life and Work.

The event will take place in the Long Gallery of Parliament Buildings between 09:15 and 15:15 on Friday 6th December 2019.

The programme is as follows:

09:15 - 09:45       Registration
09:45 - 10:15       Welcome & Introduction
10:15 - 10:35       Role of NI Human Rights Commission
10:35 - 10:55       Exploring UNCRC in the Classroom (NICCY)
10:55 - 11:15       Role of the Equality Commission
11:15 - 11:30       Break
11:30 - 12:30       Activities for the Classroom - NI Assembly Education Service 
12:30 - 13:15       Lunch (provided) 
13:15 - 14:30       UK Parliament Explained - UK Parliament Outreach Service 
14:30 - 14:45       Feedback & Closing remarks
14:45 - 15:15       Tour (optional)
