Design a new eco-bag for the Northern Ireland Assembly
Theme - Northern Ireland Wildlife
Prize
The winning picture will be printed on a cloth bag and sold in the gift shop at Parliament Buildings.
The winner will receive a set of art materials and the winner’s class will be invited on a special visit to Parliament buildings (with transport paid by the Assembly).
How to enter
1. On a blank sheet of A4 paper, create an original picture on the theme of Wildlife in Northern Ireland. Leave a space at the bottom of the page. (See No 2 below.)
Think about:
o The variety (biodiversity) of Northern Ireland wildlife – trees, plants and animals
o Wildlife in the Stormont Estate (includes a pine marten, badgers, foxes, squirrels, wetland birds, amphibians (frogs and toads), bees (honey, bumble and solitary mining bees which nest in soil), butterflies and hoverflies.
o Wildlife in your garden, or a local park/forest
2. In the space below your drawing:
a. tell us a little about it, for example:
o What is it?
o Why did you draw this?
o What message does your drawing give to people?
b. Write your name, class and school
3. Ask your teacher to scan your picture and email to sustainabledevelopment@niassembly.gov.uk
