Chairing the Assembly Commission

The Assembly Commission is responsible for providing the Assembly with the property, staff and services it needs to carry out its work, including:

  • a suitable building to meet in;
  • sufficient office accommodation;
  • staff to support MLAs; and
  • services, including recording and printing.

The Commission consists of the Speaker, who is the Chair and MLAs from each of the main parties represented in the Assembly.
