Free CPD event for teachers at UK Parliament

UK Parliament CPD opportunity for teachers

The UK Parliament’s Education Service will be hosting a residential Teachers’ Institute from 2-4 July 2018. Transport and accommodation costs are covered and applications are welcome from any teacher, school leader, trainee teachers and teacher training providers who work with young people aged 5-18.

The course includes:

  • Free transport and accommodation
  • Q&A sessions with MPs and Peers
  • Talks from subject specialists
  • Workshops devoted to key aspects of the work of Parliament
  • Opportunities to explore new and exciting teaching ideas
  • Tour of the Palace of Westminster

100% of previous delegates strongly recommend the programme:

“The best CPD I have had to date. Every second of every day was useful and I cannot wait to share my excitement with others. I will definitely be sharing with colleagues in our local schools, encouraging them to apply for the next round of training!” [2017 delegate]

“I have absolutely loved it and have learnt more than any other CPD course – ever! I feel inspired, empowered and totally privileged!” [2017 delegate]

Application forms for this fantastic opportunity are available at UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Programme and the closing date is Sunday 8 April 2018. Applications are particularly welcome from teachers here and, even though you will be on holiday from the end of June, it is worth considering spending a few days in London for this great experience.
