Attention Year 13 and 14 students: Supreme Court UK Writing Competition 2019

Looking for a good way to develop your research and writing skills? Or hoping to find a unique opportunity to help boost your UCAS form? Why not enter the UK Supreme Court writing competition!

If you're a Year 13 or 14 student and you have a keen interest in law and the UK Justice system or maybe are looking to study law at University, then this is the competition for you!

Put your knowledge of the law and skills of persuasion to the test by arguing for or against a point of law of your choice from the information pack below. The final winners will be chosen by a Supreme Court Justice.

The 2018 winner, Kit McCarthy alongside Lady Hale, President of the Supreme Court.

Prizes for the top placed entries are:

• First place: £100 Book Voucher, spend a day at the Supreme Court and have tea with a Justice.

• Second place: £75 Book Voucher.

• Third place: £50 Book Voucher.
