Parliament Buildings hosts the Mock Council of the European Union

This prestigious event was organised by the British Council and the European Commission Office in Northern Ireland and took place in Parliament Buildings on Friday 19 October 2012.

The event was aimed at 16-18 year olds and was aimed at students with an interest in European affairs or politics. By participating in the initiative, the students found out more about the workings of the main decision-making body of the European Union. They also got a chance to practice their debating and diplomacy skills in a realistic setting observed by teachers and students from the twenty-eight participating schools.
